Otieno Aluoka, 50, is a lawyer and an advocate of the High Court of Kenya. He holds LLB degree from the University of Nairobi as well as a postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), the East African Law Society and the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ). Mr Aluoka is also a development anthropologist with qualifications in BA (Anthropology) and MA (Anthropology) from the University of Nairobi. He is currently pursuing his Phd in Environmental Law at the Centre for Advanced Studies in Environmental Law and Policy (CASELAP) at the same Instituition.
Mr.Aluoka is an alumnus of Rockefeller Fellow at the International Fellowship program in Philanthropy, (IFP) City University of New York – CUNY, USA and the SASAKAWA YOUNG LEADERS FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM of the Tokyo Foundation Japan as well as the Political Leaders Development Program (PLDP) of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Kenya. A social democrat activist – scholar, Mr. Aluoka is passionate about constitutional law practice and the defense of social justice, the rule of law and human dignity for all.
